Your Opportunity  


We are looking for a Purchasing & Procurement Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia who will manage the purchase of a wide variety of goods and services that meet the short-term purchasing criteria of the right goods/services, quality, quantity, time, place and cost. Purchasing as a short-term activity that aims to meet immediate business needs that are  contained within the larger, long-term function of procurement, which aims to provide a long-term strategic approach to the future delivery of goods and services dependent on organizational objectives. The requirements are currently spread over 130 ‘Missions’ (countries) and involve 137 sites.


The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and present technical information. Has the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team goals. Willingness to adapt to changing operational requirements, work in dynamic environments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


The hiring for this role is subject to contract award.


Key Accountabilities


  • Needs analysis: Audit of Client's business needs, often with the goal of identifying inefficiencies, examining value creation and other factors such as the needed quality and total cost of ownership
  • Evaluating or establishing the purchasing process: the entire system of operations from source to pay. This means all the steps, from placing an order to paying the vendor for that order, are included in the Client purchasing process.
  • Due diligence/compliance: Research on a vendor or supplier’s business model, code of ethics, client history, client reviews, etc. It should also include local market analysis and thorough competitive analysis, and whether these fall in line with Client’s objectives.
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation: Be cognizant of the operational and financial risks of dealing with suppliers and being a part of the larger supply chain and taking steps to mitigate the risks to eliminate any business impact.
  • Contract negotiation: Create a legally binding agreement between Client and its supplier or vendor. The goal of this document is to outline a long-term partnership that will be mutually beneficial for both parties.
  • Strategic sourcing: Sourcing supplies in bulk or bundled with other products to reduce their individual costs, taking logistics into consideration.
  • Supplier and vendor management: Supplier relationships and contract management require routine maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, order information, delivery tracking, evaluation and receipt of goods, supply chain management, logistics, pay processes, and continual vendor performance analysis.
  • Spend data and analytics: Gathering metrics and analyzing spend and supplier performance. The goal is to identify spending inefficiencies or determine where there is room for improvement in vendor relationships.

Specific Requirements


  • Five (5) years of experience in business and procurement management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify and resolve technical challenges related to spacecraft operations. Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline;
  • Fluent in English, with Arabic being a distinct advantage to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
