Project Overview: TROJENA (The Mountains of NEOM) will be an iconic, world-class destination, blending natural and developed landscapes and will offer unique experiences for residents and visitors alike. Located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia in the region of Tabuk just 50km from the coast, TROJENA will be a destination like no other on earth. Based upon the principles of eco-tourism facilities will include a folded vertical village, a lake with water sports and event facilities, high altitude ski village, observatory, world leading health and wellbeing facilities and a nature reserve which will be home to unique wildlife, heritage sites and exploration opportunities.
Job Summary: The Project Manager Vault Facade and Roof is responsible for managing one or more major project of capital works. The role will span from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, occupancy and contract close-out.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of complex facade systems, including curtain walls, unitised facades, and structural glass
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and client specifications for facade and roof systems
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to resolve design and technical issues related to facade and roof systems
- Monitor and manage the performance of facade and roof systems throughout the project lifecycle, including addressing maintenance and repair issues
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and material quality for facade and roof installations
- Executes work against established project management policies, plans, and programs for the orderly execution of projects
- Establishes and implements staffing plans for the project management function on proposals, programmed overhead, and awarded projects
- Regularly monitors the progress of active projects and ensures that responsible actions are being taken by members of the project team
- Reviews and approves project execution plans, project plans and programs, and other critical project plans and/or documents
- Ensures that project related problems are resolved promptly and that an integrated approach is followed in the performance of the project
- Reviews and approves the release of project cost estimates, schedules, major trends, and forecasts to customers. Also reviews and approves major changes or deviations to these control documents
- Responsible for a multi-functional team who have management oversight and compliance of the contractor, ensuring works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards and local/national regulatory safety codes
- Coordinates with Engineering Department to ensure complete design packages are issued to Contractors as well as resolving Technical Queries (TQ’s), Request for Information (RFI) and Field Changes
- Lead and coordinate with contractors, engineers, client, and other stakeholders
- Maintains an effective relationship with other client, third party stakeholders and functional departments and coordinates all jobsite contractual activities
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil /Structural or qualified Architect is preferred, or minimum 20 years of experience in construction
- Minimum 20 years of experience in large civil related projects with significant Civil works scope in a leadership role
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of various facade systems, including their materials, installation techniques, and performance characteristics.
- Proven experience in managing complex facade and roof projects, including high-rise buildings and iconic structures.
- Strong understanding of building envelope principles, air and water barrier systems, and thermal performance requirements.
- Familiarity with advanced facade technologies, such as smart glass, dynamic facades, and integrated shading systems.
- Experience in:Delivery of new build construction projects of high grade residential, recreation, office or multi-use buildings in either a PMC or a contractor role.
- High grade architecturally led projects for public occupancy.
- Multidisciplinary projects including large concrete and structural steel installations as well as complex Building Management Systems.
- Curtain wall or external façade experience including complex geometry surfaces.
- Thorough knowledge of international standards and specification and codes as applicable including safety procedures associated with construction works.
- Experience in KSA / Middle east / GCC, either on Construction Management role or Direct Construction experience on construction projects.
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment between all parties including the Client, Contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
- Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor’s staff and field engineers.
