About the job Project Manager (E3-3)
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and formulation of alternatives and design solutions for the construction project.
- Communicate with customer representatives on an ongoing basis regarding project progress and areas of interest.
- Develop and manage project budgets, financial controls, contracts and quality control provisions.
- Direct work sequences to speed up project delivery and minimize disruption of ongoing processes.
- Ensure that project processes comply with design specifications and client requirements
- Examines and proposes the approval and acceptance of completed projects
- Ensure compliance with standards, building codes, safety and engineering specifications.
- Examine and prepare various reports related to processes, procedures and other issues, as appropriate.
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day project management.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of experience in major international programs and projects for leading government/semi-government entities with a documented professional history of excellence in project implementation as a direct project manager.
- Experience in direct supervision of the following functional disciplines: Engineering, Project Control, Contracts, Procurement, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Risk Management, Financial Management, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. He gained his experience from large projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Deep experience working on a global scale (preferably in the Middle East/Saudi Arabia).
- He has previously worked with a wide range of utility service providers and has dealt extensively with stakeholders from the commercial and public sectors.
- Previously, he worked in the Continuous Improvement and Capacity Building / Talent Development Support Department.
- A proven track record of delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
- Proven experience in construction, infrastructure and leading high-performance teams.
- Computer familiarity in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
