•Plan, organise, administer and control the management team and workforce.
•Through the management team, ensure good industrial relations, discipline, timekeeping and performance of staff and by the workforce.
•Co-ordinate all functions to ensure good liaison and co-operation and to ensure priorities are achieved in line with the overall plan.
•Ensure that operatives, equipment, plant and materials are deployed effectively to complete the contracts to program and cost.
•Manage the Project budget by constantly reviewing the cost expended against the forecast costs, taking appropriate remedial action when required.
•Maintain a constant check on the overall Master Schedule and associated programmes, taking corrective action when necessary.
•Must fully understand the local labor agreement, utilizing the Company Human Resource Department where appropriate.
•Ensure that construction risks are assessed, and that suitable safe systems of work are developed, within the framework of the contract as tendered.
•Ensure that all safety practices and procedures are fully understood and implemented.
•Ensure that all plant and tools are checked and certified and that special safety rules and method statements are adhered to when working under hazardous circumstances.
•To ensure that all relevant information is communicated throughout the site at all levels and that there is equally effective feed back.
•Ensure that all statutory documentation is maintained on site including Plant and Equipment Register and Accident Book.
•Submit a written monthly report on the progress of the works, identifying any adverse factors.
•Generate and maintain a culture whereby all parties are encouraged to work together towards common improvement goals.
•Support the generation and implementation of new ideas and improvements in all aspects of the operation to mutual benefit.
•Ensure that Client's representatives are fully informed on progress and the current state of the Contract.
•Represent the Company at all management and progress meetings called by the Company or the Client.
•Provide feedback to Purchasing and Estimating on performance of subcontractors/suppliers.
•Ensure profitability of the project by completing to specification on time and within budget
•Ensure client’s acceptance as a Quality Company.
•Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety and Environmental Management
•Generate and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement.
•Maintain the highest standards of Industrial Relations.
•Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering, or equivalent.
•PMP certification will be an added advantage.
•Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Project Management role, preferably in the steel fabrication and/or pressure vessel industries.
•Good interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Familiar with scope control and change management concepts, principles and methodologies.
•Ability to read and follow complex drawings/blueprints is preferred.
•Requires a thorough knowledge of technical aspects of commercial projects, oil and gas projects and processes.
•Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in fabrication and construction
