Project Engineering Manager - infrastructure
1.Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Industrial Engineering).
- Advanced Degree (optional but beneficial):
- Master’s in engineering
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
2. Professional Experience
15+ years of experience in infrastructures engineering projects
Hands-on experience with project delivery lifecycle (design, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure).
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration
3. Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) – from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) – for agile engineering environments. (optional but beneficial):
4. Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Project Management Software:
- Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet
- Familiarity with budgeting, resource management, and risk analysis tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO standards).
5. Soft Skills and Leadership Qualities
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Clearly conveying technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills: Quickly identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Motivating engineers and managing conflicts.
- Time Management: Ensuring timely project delivery under tight deadlines.
