Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Director to oversee and manage international programs for governmental and semi-governmental entities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering or science and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to drive the successful execution of complex projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a project manager and possess expertise in a wide range of areas including engineering, project control, contracts, procurement, health & safety, security, environment, risk management, financial management, quality assurance, and construction project management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the entire PMO project, including planning, execution, and delivery, while ensuring that it aligns with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and methodologies to ensure effective project management across the organization.
- Develop and implement project governance structures, policies, and procedures to support successful project delivery and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide direction and guidance to project managers and project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to prioritize and allocate resources, resolve project-related issues, and manage risks effectively.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining high-quality project outcomes.
- Monitor and report on project performance, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on key metrics, milestones, and deliverables.
- Drive a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practice development within the project management community.
- Provide direct oversight and leadership for international PMO projects, ensuring adherence to engineering, project control, procurement, health & safety, security, environmental, risk management, financial management, and quality assurance standards.
- Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and facility service providers across commercial and public sectors.
- Drive continuous improvement and capacity building initiatives, particularly within Saudi Arabia, fostering positive change and sustainable development.
- Lead the strategic management of international programs, leveraging extensive global experience to deliver successful project outcomes within the region.
- Manage diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery, compliance with regulations, and achievement of project objectives.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from a Ministry-accredited university.
- Minimum of 25 years of experience in international programs for governmental/semi-governmental entities, with a proven track record as a project manager.
- Expertise in engineering, project control, contracts, procurement, health & safety, security, environment, risk management, financial management, and quality assurance within complex international programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Extensive global experience, with a focus on the Middle East/Kingdom region, ideally including experience within Saudi Arabia.
- Proven history of managing diverse stakeholders and facility service providers across commercial and public sectors.
- Success in driving continuous improvement and capacity building initiatives, particularly within Saudi Arabia.
