Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead and manage the design and build of transportation projects, with a particular focus on urban tramway systems. The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of experience in the management of large-scale transportation projects and a proven track record in successfully delivering tramway projects in urban environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership:
  • Lead and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, including engineering, design, construction, and support staff.
  1. Design and Construction Management:
  • Manage the design and engineering process, ensuring that all technical requirements and standards are met.
  • Oversee the construction process, including contractor management, quality control, and safety compliance.
  • Implement and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety and environmental considerations.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
  • Approve expenditures and ensure financial accountability throughout the project.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the project.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  1. Innovation and Improvement:
  • Promote and implement innovative solutions and best practices in project management and construction techniques.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
