Job Summary

Working with FEMCO & Sasel Saudi Consortium as a Project Controls Manager will require tooversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and control for a Tunnel Construction MEP Fit-Out project in a groundbreaking development at Diriyah Gate, which includes MEP systems, civil and architectural finishings, utilities, and interface coordination. The role requires expertise in planning, scheduling, and project recovery methods, focusing on ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Extensive working experience with well-known global PMC and Consultancy companies as a contractor in Saudi market is highly essential.


Key Responsibilities


  • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using project management software to reflect project scope, timeline, and objectives.
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all aspects of the project, including MEP, civil, architectural, and utility works, are accurately planned.
    • Implement restore and recovery planning methods to address potential project delays and challenges, ensuring proactive management of timelines.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Regularly track project progress against the established schedule and budget, identifying variances and potential delays.
    • Generate detailed progress reports for stakeholders, ensuring clarity on project status, timelines, and resource utilization.
    • Establish regular schedule reviews, identify schedule risks, and propose corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Cost Control and Budget Management:
    • Oversee project costs and resource allocation to align with budget expectations, implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
    • Manage and monitor resource allocation, tracking all labor, equipment, and material costs, and ensure accurate budget tracking.
    • Work closely with the financial team to prepare and update cash flow forecasts and project financials.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation:
    • Identify potential project risks in collaboration with the project team, including risks related to interface coordination and multi-disciplinary work integration.
    • Implement risk mitigation plans to manage potential impacts on the project schedule and budget, maintaining clear communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Team Coordination and Communication:
    • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration across MEP, civil, and architectural aspects of the project.
    • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address scheduling and interface coordination issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
    • Support project managers and teams by providing technical guidance on scheduling and project controls.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, specifically in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
    • Proven hands-on experience in planning, scheduling, and implementing restore and recovery plan methods.
    • Strong understanding of MEP works, civil, architectural finishings in construction.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
    • Solid understanding of scheduling techniques, earned value management (EVM), and delay analysis.
    • Familiarity with construction project cost controls and budgeting practices.
  • Certifications:
    • Prince2 certification is essential.
    • PMI, PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certification in project controls is preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate across various disciplines.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
