Professional, Outpatient Informatics Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Outpatient Informatics Professional to lead the implementation, optimization, and management of the Outpatient and Emergency Department modules of InterSystems TrakCare across multiple hospitals and clinics in the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record implementing outpatient services and ED systems, with hands-on experience implementing and optimizing the above InterSystems TrakCare modules in a fast-paced, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, a deep understanding of outpatient care workflows, and the ability to enhance patient care through the effective utilization of EHR technology in the context of numerous greenfield system implementations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of EHR system modules within outpatient units and clinics and Emergency Departments (ED), and coordinate system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and staff workflows.
• Provide stakeholder management and leadership skills working with leadership, outpatient care units, vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outpatient and ED modules for Neom’s hospitals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, vendors, and clinical departments to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to delivering identified modules.
• Analyze and understand outpatient and ED clinical workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, customization, and alignment with EHR system capabilities.
• Lead efforts to optimize outpatient and ED, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to align EHR functionalities with outpatient care workflows and best practices.
• Support the training and development of outpatient and ED staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel, ensuring proficiency and efficiency in EHR system usage.
• Collaborate with quality improvement teams to implement and assess the impact of EHR optimizations on patient care outcomes and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Work closely with EHR vendors, ensuring effective communication, addressing technical issues, and ensuring vendor compliance with service level agreements.
• Provide leadership in addressing EHR-related issues within outpatient and ED units, troubleshooting problems, and collaborating with IT teams for effective resolution.
• Ensure outpatient and ED units adhere to data security and healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA, and actively participate in compliance audits.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Strong clinical background with expertise in emergency nursing, outpatient care, or related clinical area.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team-building, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices related to outpatient and ED operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications and healthcare information systems. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent healthcare professional license.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare delivery or management, with specific experience in outpatient services and/or emergency care.
