Job Description

Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Professional for the Inpatient, Operating Theater (OT), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to oversee and coordinate the operations of these critical areas within our healthcare facility. The role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare management, particularly inpatient care, surgical services, and critical care environments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the implementation of EHR system modules within inpatient units and coordinate system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and staff workflows.
  • Provide stakeholder management and leadership skills by working with leadership, inpatient care units, and vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality inpatient modules for Neom’s hospitals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, vendors, and clinical departments, to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to delivering identified inpatient modules.
  • Lead efforts to optimize inpatient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to align EHR functionalities with inpatient care workflows and best practices.
  • Analyze and understand inpatient clinical workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, customization, and alignment with EHR system capabilities.
  • Support the training and development of inpatient staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel, ensuring proficiency and efficiency in EHR system usage.
  • Collaborate with quality improvement teams to implement and assess the impact of EHR optimizations on patient care outcomes and adherence to clinical guidelines.
  • Work closely with EHR vendors, ensuring effective communication, addressing technical issues, and ensuring vendor compliance with service level agreements.
  • Provide leadership in addressing EHR-related issues within inpatient units, troubleshooting problems, and collaborating with IT teams for effective resolution.
  • Ensure inpatient units adhere to data security and healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA, and actively participate in compliance audits.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Strong clinical background with expertise in acute care nursing, perioperative nursing, and critical care nursing.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team-building, conflict resolution, and change management skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices related to inpatient, operating room (OT), and intensive care unit (ICU) operations.
  • Proven track record in managing vendor and hospital leadership relationships for long-term success.
  • Strong project management capabilities, adept at leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, especially Epic, Cerner, or InterSystems, is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with Director-level stakeholders and above.
  • Detailed understanding of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and SDPL, and a dedication to data security and compliance.
  • Experience in training and supporting end-users in ancillary applications.
  • Relevant healthcare IT certifications (e.g., CPHIMS) are highly desirable. 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent healthcare professional license.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare delivery or management, with specific experience in inpatient care, surgical services, and critical care.
