1. ROLE
“Production Supervisor” is a high-level production technician lead in charge of line
operation and supervision. As “Production Supervisor”, he brings a multivalence to
the production team developing additional skills, particularly in quality control and
supervision of production activities.

3. PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
Planning and Scheduling: Production supervisors are responsible for creating
production schedules and ensuring that production targets are met. Plan the
allocation of resources, including manpower shift schedule, equipment, and
materials, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Team Management: Production supervisors lead and manage a team of
production workers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring their
performance. They are responsible for training new employees, conducting
performance evaluations, and addressing any performance or disciplinary
issues that arise.
Quality Control: Ensuring product quality is a crucial responsibility of a
production supervisor. Monitor production processes to identify any deviations
or defects and take corrective actions to maintain quality standards. This
involves conducting regular inspections, implementing quality control
procedures, and collaborating with the quality control department.
Process Improvement: Production supervisors are constantly looking for ways
to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity. They
analyze production data, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement
process improvements or recommend changes to streamline operations.
Safety Compliance: Maintaining a safe working environment is essential in any
production facility. Production supervisors enforce safety protocols, ensure
compliance with relevant regulations, conduct safety training, and investigate
and report any workplace accidents or incidents.
Communication and Coordination: Effective communication is vital for a
production supervisor. They collaborate with other departments, such as,
maintenance, and quality, to coordinate production activities. They also
communicate production targets, goals, and updates to their team and provide
regular reports to higher management.
Inventory Management: Production supervisors oversee inventory levels to
ensure an uninterrupted production flow. Monitor stock levels, and coordinate with
Operation manager to procure raw materials or components, and maintain
accurate inventory records.
Problem Solving: Production supervisors are responsible for troubleshooting
and resolving production issues that may arise during the manufacturing
process. Identify the root causes of problems, propose and implement
solutions, and work closely with their team to overcome challenges and
minimize downtime
Activities within the entity
The “Advanced Operator” main missions (" Main Missions") are :
Produce in accordance with data transmitted by the Technical Manager (raw
materials, procedures, instructions, waste management) and in accordance
with production schedules.
Be responsible for adjustments required to satisfy the quality of products.
Be able to operate the line (start-up and stops) and to make decisions
autonomously.
Produce respecting the quality, quantity, and timelines in accordance with
procedures and instructions.
Provide data necessary to the Technical Manager.
Be responsible for putting the production line at disposition in safety conditions
(clean …) to maintain and supervises work when happened
Contribute to the improvement of the technical and economic performance of
production line.
Ensure proper implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
policy
Share knowledge with “Operators” on a day-to-day basis
Be able to satisfy first-level maintenance tasks such as valve changes, bag
filter replacement, etc … and to perform control analysis.
Report raw material/utility consumptions and production outputs ( finish
goods – scraps – pallets – Bags etc… ) qounaititeds through the SAP system for
monthly close out.
4. QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT
Be familiar with the Axens Management System and the associated
Management Policy, as well as the Dammam plant's Major Accident
Prevention Plan.
Know how the Axens Management Policy is applied within his or her entity
and the QHSE targets set by the Chairman and CEO and adapted by the
Director of Axens Catalyst Arabia Ltd in accordance with Axens QHSE
Corporate standards.
Comply with the Procedures of Axens Catalyst Arabia Ltd.
Follow the rules of procedure, laws, and regulations in effect and take any
other requirements into account (in particular the Axens Management Policy
related to safety, working conditions, risk prevention, and environmental
protection).
In accordance with the law, learn about the risks that you may be exposed to
in this position which, depending on your professional group, are described in
Occupational Health and Safety Document.
5. REPLACEMENT
If absent or unavailable, the “Production Supervisor” is replaced by an Advanced
Operator.
