The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.


Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses alfanar’s facilities.


The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.


Job Purpose

responsible for overseeing and optimizing production schedules, resource allocation, and coordination in a distribution automation substation factory. The role ensures timely delivery, quality standards, and efficient use of resources while driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.




Key Accountability Areas

Production Planning and Scheduling:


  • Develop and manage production schedules for all distribution automation substation products, ensuring alignment with customer orders, inventory levels, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to ensure timely availability of materials and resources for production.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules based on changing priorities, customer demands, and resource availability.

Resource Allocation and Management:


  • Ensure optimal allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize production efficiency.
  • Oversee the utilization of production resources, ensuring they are used effectively to meet production goals and minimize waste or downtime.

Process Improvement and Efficiency:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the production planning function to increase productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize operations.

Coordination with Other Departments:


  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure that production plans are aligned with project specifications and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between production and the PMO (Project Management Office) to ensure alignment on project goals, deadlines, and deliverables.

Inventory and Material Management:


  • Ensure accurate forecasting of material requirements based on production schedules, preventing material shortages and excess stock.
  • Oversee the proper management of raw materials and finished goods inventory, coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

Production Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Track production progress and performance, ensuring adherence to schedules and identifying potential delays.
  • Prepare regular production reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators, issues, and potential solutions.

Team Management and Development:


  • Lead and manage the production planning team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting continuous improvement and team development.

Customer and Project Requirements Management:


  • Ensure that production planning is aligned with customer requirements, including quality standards, specifications, and delivery deadlines.
  • Manage and monitor customer orders and project milestones to ensure that production targets and delivery schedules are met.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all production planning activities.
  • Monitor production activities to maintain a safe working environment, ensuring the well-being of employees and the adherence to company safety policies.

  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve the optimum cost efficiency.

  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements taking into consideration future and development plans.
  • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.

  • Develop, coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.
  • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions especially those relevant to his job and business.
  • Promote the automated systems and using them fully, to spread its culture.

Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
