Overview
As a Product Owner within the TV Platforms Product team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic product integrations with key partners. Your focus will be on enhancing our customer experience and expanding our product offerings through seamless collaboration with third-party partners. This role requires a strong blend of product management expertise, technical understanding, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Collaborate with Identified Partners: Engage with selected partners to gain a deep understanding of their platforms, identifying critical product touchpoints and integration opportunities.
- Facilitate effective communication to ensure mutual understanding of technical requirements and business objectives.
- Establish and Agree on Integration Strategies: Develop and propose comprehensive product integration approaches that align with both internal goals and partner capabilities.
- Negotiate and finalize the integration plan, ensuring all parties are aligned on timelines & expected outcomes.
- Define and maintain a well-organized product backlog that reflects the integration priorities and overall product strategy.
- Works with the development team to create a clear definition of “done” and defines releases.
- Owns and manages the product backlog and clearly expresses Product Backlog items.
- Ensures that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Development Team will work on next, as well as showing sufficient items and provisional priorities for next few releases.
- Works with stakeholders to create a clear definition of what is needed that is the translated into final requirements for the development team.
- Validates requirements in the form of user stories coming from stakeholders and where necessary rejects requirements that do not have proper justification, urgency, feasibility and do no contribute value to the product.
- Ensures the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
- Together with the team performs demo’s and training sessions on his or her products, and new features to stakeholders and wider audiences if required;
- Ensures that adequate and fully up to date product documentation, and product information is always available.
- Ensures his or her knowledge on their assigned product(s) is up to date and complete. Is aware of our competition’s product offering, new trends and developments.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging experiences.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs.
Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree preferably in business studies or technology.
- Have 3+ years’ experience in a software product owner role.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
- In depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
