Overview
MBC is looking for a Product Assurance Analyst in our quality assurance team alongside front-end and platform developers to deliver high quality user facing products and services. Across a range of products, we deliver user interfaces enabling TV viewers to discover and access great TV content.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Collaborate with technology teams to support and maintain our current products/services.
- Software assurance of Set Top Boxes, Mobile applications & web platforms.
- Work on new products and tooling as required.
- Confirm products/services complies with product/technical requirements.
- Produce and maintain high quality documentation and ensure the product is complied with the requirements.
- Execution of functional and regression testing for different projects/products to ensure the product requirements are met.
- Recording and reporting of defects.
- Verify & validate fixed defects or previous failures.
- Analyzing and assessing severity of defects.
- Contribute towards improving current procedures to optimize the processes.
- Attend and contribute to meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Contribute ideas to improve product quality.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience
- Prior experience with front-end, back-end & database (Web, Mobile, TVs or STBs).
- Understanding of complete software development life cycle.
- Experienced at creating, maintaining, and executing detailed cases (based on business and technical requirements).
- Ability to test and investigate back-end APIs and services using tools such as Postman.
- Experience with ticketing, documentation, such as Jira, Confluence, TestRail.
- Experienced in creating defect tickets in a standard format with clear detail for further investigation or fixing.
- Any of the following are a bonus:
- Understanding or experience with broadcast TV technologies – DVB DTT/DSAT.
- Knowledge of Android TV / Google TV
- Understanding of modern app architecture – client apps, RESTful APIs, cloud services.
- Team player and internal networker a must.
- Passionate about content- all content.
- Analytical.
