Job Description

Job Summary:
  • Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all activities related to purchasing and warehouse management to ensure efficient and effective provisioning of vehicles, spare parts, and all materials for the company.


Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Purchasing Management:


    • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.


    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.


    • Review and analyze bids and contracts to ensure compliance with specifications.


    • Manage supplier relationships and regularly evaluate their performance while continually scouting for additional vendors.


    • Approve purchase orders and organize and confirm delivery of goods and services.


    • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.


  • Inventory Management:


    • Determine optimal inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock is maintained without overstocking.


    • Organize and monitor warehouse inventory to ensure its accuracy and the integrity of stock.


    • Optimize and organize storage spaces to enhance warehouse efficiency.


  • Planning and Forecasting:


    • Collaborate with other departments to understand their requirements and ensure all needs are met.


    • Develop contingency plans to address any supply challenges or delays.


  • Quality Control:


    • Ensure that materials and products are received in accordance with required standards.


    • Implement strict inspection protocols for incoming materials.


    • Address any quality-related issues with products or deliveries.


    • Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.


  • Compliance and Documentation:


    • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations in purchasing and storage operations.


    • Prepare and maintain documentation and records related to purchases and inventory.


    • Provide regular reports to senior management on purchasing and inventory performance.


  • Team Leadership and Development:


    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement and warehouse professionals to achieve departmental goals.


    • Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs for team members.


    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.


    • Manage workload distribution and delegate tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency and staff development.

Job Requirements:
  • Education


    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or any related field.


  • Experience


    At least 5 years of experience in procurement and warehouse management, preferably in the automotive industry.


  • Technical Skills


Expertise in using modern inventory management systems and software to track stock levels, orders, and deliveries. This includes familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.


Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes including logistics, supply chain planning, and the integration of supply and demand management. This knowledge is critical to optimize procurement strategies and ensure efficient warehouse operations.


Ability to analyze complex datasets to forecast supply needs and evaluate supplier performance. Skills in using statistical analysis tools and methodologies to predict trends and make data-driven decisions.

Strong leadership skills to inspire, lead, and develop a team. Ability to motivate staff, delegate effectively, and manage performance to foster a productive and positive work environment.


Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations, identify and analyze problems, and formulate effective solutions. This also includes making timely decisions that affect the procurement and warehouse operations.


Proficient in communication and negotiation skills to effectively deal with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to articulate requirements, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with clarity and diplomacy.
