Procurement Specialist / Local Content - Saudi Arabia
Job Description
Develop and implement a comprehensive local content strategy aligned with the company's objectives Conduct thorough market research to identify and qualify local suppliers and manufacturers capable of meeting the company's needs. Develop and maintain a database of qualified local suppliers, tracking their capabilities, certifications, and performance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, project management) to identify opportunities for substituting imported goods and services with local alternatives. Analyze spend data to identify areas where local content can be increased and develop action plans to achieve targets. Stay abreast of the latest local content regulations, guidelines, and initiatives issued by the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) Ensure all procurement activities are in full compliance with local content requirements Lead the process of obtaining and maintaining the required local content certifications from the LCGPA. Support technical teams during the bidding phase to submit and monitor the project local content. Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and reports to the LCGPA, with alignment with all stakeholders (HR, Finance and procurement) ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Personal Skills
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the ICT sector in Saudi Arabia.
Strong understanding of local content regulations and requirements in KSA.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills
- Have Experience in Local content in KSA
- Skilled in data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques within Excel Ability to create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations using charts, graphs, and pivot tables
- Experience in analyzing spending patterns, identifying trends, and highlighting areas for potential cost optimization.
