Job Description

Procurement Planning & Reporting Director
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Procurement planning and reporting activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures as well as coordinate the implementation and administration of the operations strategic plan and facilitates enterprise-wide project management to operationalize the delivery of strategic and organizational goals
You will be responsible for
Develop and oversee the annual STA procurement plan by assessing the Divisions' requirements for products and services and combining the plans to ensure alignment with the authority's strategic priorities
Analyse current procurement requirements and develop forecasts for future needs based on past requirements and trend analysis
Create and execute change activity plans for authorized procurement change efforts, and assist in delivering best practice procurement activities
Provide recommendations for cost-saving and/or performance-enhancing solutions using creative methods for obtaining economies of scale and long-term price agreements
Develop Divisional policies and procedures for the Procurement & Contracts Sector and update them as necessary to ensure consistency and alignment with the Sector's objectives
Ensure operational excellence and the implementation of best practices in the Procurement & Contracts Sector 
Lead the initiative to digitize and automate procurement activities to achieve higher efficiency 
Monitor and control all Procurement & Contracts activities across STA and ensure all activities are up to the standards
Maintain the findings of benchmarking studies with other and comparable firms in order to identify and suggest best practices in procurement and other relevant processes
Participate in meetings/communications and workshops with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve a positive outcome
Perform other activities as and when required.
You will need:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent is preferred
Recommended not less than 10 years of experience in relevant field
