Job Description

Overview


The Procurement Planning Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement planning process, including internal audit reviews, work assignments, reporting, and documentation. This role ensures that all procurement activities are aligned with the organization's goals and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities


  • Lead and manage internal audit reviews related to procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the procurement function.
  • Review audit reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement reports, including expenditure analysis, supplier performance, and compliance metrics. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of procurement activities.
  • Assist and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends and forecast procurement needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

Requirements

  • Strong Business Analytical and Planning skills
  • Excellent proactive problem-solving skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in internal audit reviews, reporting, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Fusion and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
  • Experience in a leadership role within procurement.
