Job Description:

MAPA Group is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join our PMO Office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of procurement fundamentals, supplier coordination, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting procurement operations, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Procurement Operations Support:

•   Assist in the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for various projects.

•   Prepare and process RFQs, purchase orders, and vendor agreements under the supervision of senior procurement personnel.

•   Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.  

Vendor Management & Negotiations:

•   Support supplier sourcing and prequalification (PQ) processes.

•   Assist in price and contract negotiations with vendors to optimize costs and payment terms.

•   Maintain supplier records and assist in performance evaluations. 

Contract & Compliance:

•   Assist in reviewing supplier contracts and ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.

•   Help in managing addendums, amendments, and document tracking.

•   Support risk assessment processes to ensure supplier reliability and contract compliance.  

Budget Control & Cost Optimization:

•   Assist in cost analysis and budget tracking for procurement activities.

•   Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

•   Support in generating procurement reports and cost analysis data.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

•   Contribute to the enhancement of procurement workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

•   Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and vendor communications.

•   Support the digitalization of procurement processes through ERP / SAP and procurement management tools.

•   Create efficient post-procurement analysis reports to provide management with sufficient data, enabling them to have a comprehensive overview of the project stage and make informed decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

•   Work closely with project teams, engineering, planning, and finance departments.

•   Provide procurement insights and updates to relevant stakeholders.

•   Assist in resolving procurement-related issues by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
