Job Description
Ensure the cost-effective and efficient delivery of procurement activities, maintaining high-quality standards. Lead the planning, sourcing, and managing procurement operations to support the organization’s goals, focusing on spend analytics, supplier relationships, and compliance with procurement policies.
Specialized Accountabilities
- Consolidate category-specific procurement plans from various all the sectors and Departments.
- Conduct spend and source planning for different categories in collaboration with the sectors.
- Collect and consolidate specifications and demand forecasts from end users for each category.
- Develop vendor catalogues with agreed inventory items and price/rate sheets.
- Perform quality control and product testing to ensure procurement meets organizational standards.
- Collect and analyze spend data on materials and services to identify trends and category management opportunities.
- Review historical spend data to gain insights, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve supplier relationships.
- Document spend related to ad hoc or urgent procurements to identify opportunities for integrating into existing categories or creating new ones.
- Report spend analytics to senior management and recommend actions to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing
