Procurement Coordinator

Job Description

Purchase Order Management:

• Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders (POs).
• Review and verify purchase requisitions and orders to ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.

Supplier Management:

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Communicate with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual agreements.

Data Entry and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, receipts, invoices, and payment details.
• Update procurement databases and systems, ensuring that data is up-to-date and accessible.
• Generate reports on procurement activities, including purchasing trends and cost analysis.

Budget and Cost Control:

• Assist in managing the procurement budget by tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze pricing and seek alternative suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal quality

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure that all procurement activities comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
• Assist in monitoring and managing risks associated with supply chain disruptions and supplier performance issues.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal departments (Operations, finance, logistics) to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
