Lead the Site Process Improvement (PI) Department (Lean/Operational Excellence).
Own the site PI strategy under the oversight of the Corporate Operational Excellence Department and in coordination with site/department heads. The Strategy should cover all site activities and ensure that all objectives are met in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
Establish a clear and consistent system for planning, following up, and reporting on all process improvement activities across all departments.
Establish PI department targets/KPIs and expected annual savings from identified projects aligned with the different departments.
Drive the department to achieve its targets and provide periodic reports on progress towards achieving those goals.
Guide and drive digitalization initiatives across the departments.
Provide coaching and specialized training in various process improvement/lean tools and processes to all departments.
Work closely with department heads on employees’ skills and provide training and guidance to continuously enhance their capabilities.
Work closely with all departments to identify hidden losses, plan and implement key process improvement projects in all relevant areas such as reducing cost, improving productivity, reducing cycle times, enhancing processes, manpower optimization, etc.
Track downtime reporting and trends, analyze the data and plan/implement OEE & efficiency improvements.
Act as a change agent to systematically drive and implement changes following the change control protocol.
Work with finance and other members of the organization in assessing, tracking and reporting the financial benefit of improvement projects.
Leverage best practices through internal and external benchmarking.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes and methodologies.
Bachelor in Pharma or Industrial Engineering
At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Lean, TPM, OPEX or CI
Proficient in Lean tools such as: 5S, Kaizen, SMED, RCA, Kanban, VSM, etc.
