ROLE OVERVIEW
The Pre-Employment/Apprenticeship Senior Specialist will ensure that KSA nationals and international candidates alike understand how to access high-quality Apprenticeships within NEOM.
The role will work closely with the Head of Attraction, NEOM CSR team and external stakeholders to build a database of potential Apprentices, using a mixture of digital and on-the-ground strategies – ensuring that the best and brightest candidates are aware of the opportunities at NEOM and feel equipped to apply.
They will also be a very important member of a growing team, and expected to play a proactive and significant role in the development of vocational training across NEOM.
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The responsibilities of the Pre-Employment/Apprenticeship Senior Specialist will include, but not be limited to:
Planning & Strategy
- Ensuring that NEOM is considered to be the most attractive place to undertake an Apprenticeship.
- Setting up and continuously improving an efficient and effective Apprenticeship attraction process
- Attracting KSA National talent from across the Kingdom, alongside the best and brightest international talent.
- Create clear and engaging pathways for candidates to understand and access Apprenticeships within NEOM
- Working with other NEOM departments, e.g. Marketing & Communication, to design and execute attraction and outreach campaigns.
- Ensure that relevant internal and external stakeholders, e.g. students, schools, colleges, universities and careers services, understand the opportunities at NEOM.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaising with NEOM Sectors and other relevant bodies to understand and communicate apprenticeship opportunities.
- Working with NEOM Social Responsibility team to build pathways for the brightest young minds to participate in Apprenticeships within NEOM.
- Understanding and marketing Apprenticeship employment options at key NEOM employers.
- Building productive links with local, national and international partners.
- Liaising with employment sectors and employers to understand their skills needs, both present and future.
- Working with curriculum development and delivery teams to ensure that courses and candidates align to meet employers’ needs and candidate demands.
- Working with NEOM Talent Academy colleagues to ensure that we are attracting the right quantity and quality of apprenticeship applicant.
Operational Delivery
- Manage the planning and execution of live in-person engagement events.
- Manage the planning and execution of virtual engagement events.
- Manage the operation of NEOM and third-party digital platforms to attract, engage and communicate with potential apprentices.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Talent Academy website to ensure it is meeting the needs of the Talent Academy attraction and recruitment strategy.
- Continuously research best-practice in the field of attraction and engagement to ensure operational excellence.
Candidate Management
- Liaise directly with apprentices at various steps of their journey at NEOM.
- Support, where appropriate, with the screening, assessment and onboarding of apprentices.
- Manage various channels of communication with apprentices, and the wider vocational education talent pool.
- Collate, manage and deploy candidate information and insights to help improve their experience and NEOM Talent Academy’s attractiveness.
- Continuously develop and approve a dynamic talent pool for apprenticeships and related Talent Academy programs

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience with the provision of an internationally recognised Apprenticeship model
- Understanding of and commitment to the concept of lifelong learning
- Public or private sector outreach, talent attraction and/or learning and development experience.
- Experience working with young people or jobseekers, preferably in KSA.
- Experience managing an applicant tracking system
- Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of social media and other leading-edge digital platforms.
- Working with ambiguity and demonstrated agility to a dynamic working environment.
