Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Portfolio Manager with a proven track record to join Saudi Aramco’s rapidly growing Mukamala investment fund with $3 billion in assets within the Transactions Center of Excellence (TCOE) department, which is part of the Strategy & Corporate Development Organization.


The TCOE department is responsible for providing support to all Aramco transactions and businesses (portfolio).


The Portfolio Manager will support the execution of process of company M&As, JVs and Divestures in addition to reviewing company portfolios in terms of per performance and make recommendations including turnaround solutions.




Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following: 


  • Manage and monitor assigned portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment strategy and financial objectives.  Monitor and report on portfolio company performance. Identify performance gaps, operational inefficiencies, and areas for value creation.
     
  • Identfy, develop and implement strategic opportunities for portfolio companies.  Overseeing possible restructuring, cost optimization, and operational improvements.  Work closely with executive management to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal functional groups and external advisors to evaluate performance and propose interventions.  Build relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and lenders, to align on objectives and execution plans.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and operational assessments to drive decision-making.  Lead initiatives such as revenue growth, market repositioning, divestitures, or M&A activities.  Monitor and measure the impact of company directives and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting portfolio performance.  Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal investment policies.
  • Mentor and guide management teams within portfolio companies to build sustainable operational capabilities.  Provide thought leadership on industry trends, best practices, and turnaround methodologies.


Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management or Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 9 years professional experience private equity, investment banking, or corporate turnarounds, with at least 5 years working with global PE firms. 
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, operational restructuring, and strategic management
  • Demonstrated track record of improving revenue, EBITDA, operational KPIs, and enterprise value across multiple industries
  • Strong grasp of budgeting, financial restructuring, and P&L management
  • Prior experience managing investments in Saudi Arabia preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus
