Job Description

A global leader in lighting technologies is seeking a Plant Manager to join their team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. Your leadership will directly contribute to maximizing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:



Operational


    • Responsible for driving the safety culture and being an example in the site. Covering all activities, either executed by own people, subcontractors, outsourced, etc.
    • Establishing good professional relationships & collaboration with the related Business/Division/Function and where applicable with the country organization.
    • Leads all entities of plant in collaboration with department managers (Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Quality, SCM, Purchasing, Finance and others)
    • Drive the digitization transformation of the plant with low-cost solutions and maximize the benefit of the already implemented systems.
    • Leads operational activities related to manufacturing and deliveries of goods and services according to standards and local legal requirements (including quality standards, environmental regulations).
    • Create a pace of follow-up / routine. Maintains energy level, focus and drive.
    • Stimulate a culture and set conditions for continuous improvement to achieve best in class results for productivity, cost of non-quality, product quality and LEAN.
    • Maintaining, implementation and improvement of quality management systems (e.g. ISO – FDA – OHSAS).
    • Manage and coordinate the necessary internal and external relationships (unions / suppliers/ certification bodies/ “local’ governments etc.)
    • Promotes best practice sharing and receiving from other sites and functions to build a strong collaboration network.
    • Manage the business in line with the Integrity Code, PSCS, Values and rules stipulated in the Company Manual, all relevant internal instructions and legislation in the country.
    • Driving flexibility of workforce and able to adapt to fluctuations in demand, availability of material, customer requirements.
  • Financial
    • Focus on business results, realizes annual productivity targets and sets longer term directions.
    • Collaborate with business units on longer term cost roadmap.
    • Defines, and drives productivity improvement, incl. pipeline, high fluctuation of demand, low orderbook visibility, availability of labor and components.
  • Customer
    • Build customer insight to understand customers’ requirements and embed this in longer term strategic plan and translate to daily operations to provide best in class products and services.
    • Deploy customer NPS and define improvement activities to meet customer expectations.
  • People
    • Creates an environment where openness, transparency, business ethics, diversity, and inclusion are embedded throughout the whole organization.
    • Create and foster a performance driven effective and efficient organization whereas people development, talent management and engagement are key to achieve benchmark results.
    • Inspirational for his people (challenge, develop, coach, recognize, reward).
    • Build talent pipeline and longer term succession plans.
