The Purpose of the Role
The Project Engineer is responsible to the Project Manager for the technical success of their assigned projects.This requires defining the detailed scope requirements through coordination with internal and external project stakeholders, developing and documenting the design and validating this with the project stakeholders and coordinating work packages for project team members.
Responsibility
·Adhere to the high standards of Health and Safety management required by Honeywell and our customers.
·Develop a comprehensive understanding of Honeywell installed products and their applications
·Assessment of customer site for installation and design requirements for incorporation into the project design documents as well as coordinating these requirements with the installation subcontractor
·Assisting with Sales involving innovative use of latest technology in establishing system design and providing project estimates
·Review incoming project documentation for impact to the Project scope and Works Schedule and respond to these in coordination with the Project Manager.
·Complete the required engineering & site tasks in accordance with the Honeywell Engineering Methodology and Customer requirements.
·Ensure the design solution has been value engineered to meet the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.
·Assist in design submittals and documentation as per stakeholder requirements, ensuring commitment dates are met. Work with the project stakeholders to ensure timely submittal approvals are received.
·Define a Works Schedule for the engineering & site tasks of the project with the Project Manager and drive the engineering & site teams for completed outputs as per the Works Schedule and engineering deliverable milestones.
Qualifications
·Degree in Electrical Engineering or ELV Systems Engineering or Mechatronics
·Previous experience working with highly complex electronic security/building management systems solutions.
·3-5 years’ experience in ELV Systems projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
·Ability to plan and schedule large projects.
·Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision.
·Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology.
·Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment.
