SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As a Planning Manager you will be responsible to lead and manage the planning function by enhancing its developments based on Jotun’s values and in accordance with local, regional, segment, and corporate objectives and guidelines. Create, communicate, and evaluate production plans which meet the customer demand and the site’s strategy and targets.
This position will report to the Operation Director.
Responsibilities:
Lead the assigned team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach, and guide its members to ensure a workforce that is competent, engaged, and enabled to meet Jotun’s current and future needs. This includes identifying areas for improvement, setting goals, and providing regular feedback to help team members grow and achieve their full potential.
Lead the planning function by implementing and monitoring procedures and guidelines to ensure planning activities comply with local laws and regulations, ISO 9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001, Jotun Operations System, and Jotun’s HSEQ – Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management system.
Develop realistic distribution schedule of customer orders and demand for segments by gathering and analyzing customer demand and transferring this demand to a daily plan by balancing between OTIF - On Time in Full, inventory levels and distribution enters capacity.
Collaborate with CSD - Customer Service Department and purchasing to define and maintain appropriate stock levels and stock ageing, while regularly reviewing and updating the Matrix system's safety stock levels and other planning parameters in accordance with the Jotun Operations System
Actively develop the planning process by utilizing existing functionalities in Matrix and implementing new ones according to best practice for planning in Jotun Operations System.
Establish tight communication with Purchasing, CSD-Customer Service Department, Sales, Marketing, logistics and Production to have the best alignment on information needed for the daily plan.
Coordinate with logistics and Purchase on transportation operations guidelines, monitor delivery performance, review transportation contracts, and advise on delivery improvements.
Participate in Sales & Operations meetings to Initiate, drive, and follow up continuous improvement activities and preparing short- and long-term prognoses in cooperation with Sales and Marketing for relevant Segments to keep the focus on customer demand and high Delivery Services through agreed KPIs.

Qualifications:
Any Bachelor’s / Master’s degree.
8-10 years of relevant experience in leading Planning & Supply Chain function.
Fluency in English (Verbal & Written)
