Job Context: working as Planning Engineer to oversee scheduling and planning for Electrical Power Substation Projects in the construction industry. The role involves managing project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery, and coordinating with various teams to maintain progress.


Key Accountabilities

The position involves:


  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) using tools like Primavera P6.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on construction site activities, providing technical support.
  • Offer technical expertise in planning, scheduling, procurement, and design for Electrical Substation Projects.
  • Develop comprehensive Level 6 Master Schedules for the entire program.
  • Direct the preparation of planning and scheduling control systems to help project teams assess and improve project execution efficiency.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules for substation construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Coordinate with project teams (engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders.
  • Identify potential delays and risks, and propose solutions.
  • Manage change orders and update project schedules accordingly.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, specifications, and standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Power Substation Projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Primavera P6, and Primavera Unifier.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with international standards and regulations related to power substations.
