About the Role:
We are seeking a Planning and Scheduling Engineer with substantial experience in construction planning and scheduling for our Tunnel Construction MEP Fit-Out project. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of the project while maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in planning, scheduling, and applying restore and recovery plan methods to mitigate delays and optimize performance.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, incorporating MEP, civil, and architectural finishing works.
- Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and ensure logical sequencing of tasks and dependencies.
- Set key milestones and monitor progress against baseline schedules.
- Restore and Recovery Plans:
- Identify potential delays and risks affecting the project schedule.
- Design and implement restore and recovery plans to address schedule deviations.
- Optimize resources and adjust workflows to meet project deadlines effectively.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track project progress using planning tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including critical path analysis and resource allocation updates.
- Prepare delay impact analyses and propose corrective actions.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to align schedules and resolve conflicts.
- Participate in project meetings and present schedule updates to clients and senior management.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and proactively address potential challenges.
- Ensure compliance with contractual timelines and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in construction planning and scheduling.
- At least 5 years of experience in MEP-focused projects.
- Strong background in infrastructure projects, particularly tunnel construction.
- Skills & Certifications:
- Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP)
- Certified Primavera P6
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Prince2 practioner is an advantage.
- Hands-on expertise in restore and recovery plan methods.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and risk analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
