Project Overview:
Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data for proposals or contracts. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in the preparation of schedule data for proposals or contracts Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities Assists with schedule recovery plans
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Experience and demonstrated skill in planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis Experience and demonstrated skill in establishing criteria for project planning and scheduling activities Skilled in oral and written communication, with a demonstrated ability to present planning and scheduling information to management and clients Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems Knowledgeable about current industry and technical developments
