Job Description

Job Purpose / Objective:


Perform a variety of complex photographic techniques and/or operate hand-held produce photographs of varied, special character subject material for records, presentations, or publications as well as organize the activities of assignments of a photographic laboratory


Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:


  • Utilize photography skills to perform on-site photography services required and produce high quality images, creating and record photographs/ video for all services and events offered by HMG.
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of camera equipment regularly employing the use of diverse techniques and specialized photographic expertise to photograph difficult material such as very large/small objects, deteriorating material, remote or unusually placed objects, light sensitive material, shining surfaces, etc.
  • Plan the composition of the photograph, analyzing the subject material and selecting the angle, lighting, and background to enhance desired or to eliminate unwanted features to produce the most aesthetically effective and informative photograph.
  • Prepare images, videos and other imaging support as requested by physician for the purpose of lectures and educational presentations and/or provide diagnostic imaging support to clinical physicians, if required.
  • Provide technical assistance and serve as resource on all aspects of photography.
  • Use digital cameras and computer software programs to edit images.
  • Comply with quality standards as determined by best practices and guidelines.
  • Maintain records of all photography an effective manner to retrieve information as and when required. Catalog complete photo assignments in photo file and cross-indexes photo numbers in newspaper library with published text of article.
  • Organize and schedule photographic laboratory activities assignments.
  • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
  • Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Education/ Professional Qualification:


  • Technical courses in photography beyond high school preferred. Preferably with clinical, or research photography experience

Experience:


  • Five or more years of experience as a photographer
