Job Description
Job Purpose :
To perform all clerical duties such as registering registration, arranging outpatient appointments, checking patient’s discharge arrangements, and making any necessary computer entries on the system, also do all the admission process and all the duties related to admission services.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the appropriate documentation relating to patient identification is available and submitted and that Consents to Treatment forms are completed and signed.
- Elicit information from patients and their relatives in a courteous manner, providing guidance and assistance as appropriate.
- Maintain highest levels of confidentiality and instill the need for confidentiality in subordinates.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with KAAUH regulations and guidelines.
- Schedule patients’ appointments for treatment in Outpatient Clinics using the computerized system and Activate patient’s visit in HIS.
- Perform duties in relation to the Patient Information Centre by providing advice, guidance and direction to patients and relatives; dealing with telephone enquiries concerning patient location admission scheduling and waiting list status in compliance with rules on confidentiality.
- Maintains Inpatient Computer System in a timely manner by inputting patient data and checking aily census reports.
- Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Hospital.
- Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
- Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform other duties related to the job as required.
Qualification and Experience:
-Two and half years Diploma Healthcare Administration.
-SCFHS Registration/License
-No Experience Required.
