Job Description

Job Purpose:


To handle assigned duties in morgue area 


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


  • To support fully the area of work and to participate in the provision of an effective and efficient 24-hour service.
  • Responsible for registering all information in MOH with all details needed. 
  • Receive dead bodies from inside the hospital and place it in morgue freezer.
  • Receive amputated organs from inside the hospital and coordinate agencies for burial
  • Handle dead patients to their relatives after finishing all needed process and documents.
  • Keep copies of all documents needed in morgue filing area.
  • Check the maintenance and housekeeping schedule of the morgue equipment in daily bases.
  • Arrange with mosques for transportation and Islamic washing ceremonies for Muslim deceased patients. 
  • Arrange for wash infected bodies for Muslim deceased patients in the hospital.
  • Arrange delivering infected bodies to Islamic cemeteries for burial after washing.
  • Ensure that all precautions are applied based on infection control regulations.
  • Communicate any government agencies like police, embassies if needed.
  • Coordinate with forensic Medicine in Alshumaisi to receive unnatural death bodies and non Muslims.
  • Elicit information  from  patients and  their  relatives in  a  courteous  manner, providing  guidance  and assistance as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with MOH and KAAUH regulations and guidelines and coordinate with other departments.
  • Provides monthly statistics of the processes done to the department manager. 
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the supervisor in Ambulatory Services.
  • Maintain highest levels of confidentiality and privacy for the patient’s information.
  • Respect patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
  • Participate in and support quality improvement and patient safety activates as an individual or as part of the team.
  • Preforms other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications and Experience:
-Two and half years Diploma Healthcare Administration. -SCFHS Registration/License -No Experience Required.
