Job Description
Job Purpose :
Responsible for the management of all patient administrative work. Performs all of the necessary action in order for patients to access Healthcare services in KAAUH.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with administrative, medical, and nursing staff, as well as associated disciplines, in matters relating to outpatient scheduling and waiting lists.
- Coordinates with various Hospital departments to provide additional support for patients i.e. assisted entry and exiting from clinics and units.
- Communicates with the Hospital health care team providing accurate information to help in facilitating the patients’ recuperation.
- Interviews patients and their relatives in a courteous manner, providing guidance and assistance as appropriate.
- Ensures that regulations relating to patient confidentiality are strictly adhered to.
- Responsible for the computerized scheduling of patient appointments in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training programs, and establish a working knowledge of medical terminology and specialties.
- Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Hospital.
- Work outside of normal scheduled duties during emergencies and disaster situations.
- Organizes the workflow in the department.
- Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
- Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Healthcare administration or a related field.
- No Experience required.
- SCHS Registration/License
