Key Responsibilities
Market Access Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement patient access strategies that align with the company’s business objectives, focusing on Rare Disease therapies.
- Collaborate with Access, Medical & Commercial teams to align patient access strategies with market access strategies for maximum impact.
- Identify and overcome access barriers CE/EZ, including regulatory, reimbursement, and health policy shaping.
Reimbursement & Payer Negotiations:

- Build relationships with key healthcare payers, government agencies, insurance companies, and hospitals to ensure reimbursement for the company’s products.
- Lead pricing and reimbursement negotiations based on strong market competitive intelligence, ensuring optimal reimbursement conditions for Rare Disease treatments.
- Provide support during the pricing and reimbursement process, ensuring that submission and evaluation processes are efficient, and that all requirements are met.
Stakeholder Engagement:

- Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and patient organizations.
- Coordinate with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to raise awareness of the company’s Rare Disease therapies and convey value proposition.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
Patient Access Programs Development:
- Develop and implement patient access programs that improve the affordability and accessibility of the company’s products.
- Monitor and track patient access metrics to ensure that programs are effective and deliver on patient access goals.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:

- Monitor local healthcare trends, regulatory changes, and payer strategies to anticipate market changes and provide timely reports to senior management.
- Track competitor landscape to understand their approaches to patient access and propose strategies.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on patient access, including the status of reimbursement applications, market challenges, and patient support programs.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing, and Legal, to support patient access goals.
- Ensure that patient access strategies are well-integrated into broader business plans.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field. A post-graduate degree (MBA or MPH) is a plus.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Market Access or Key Account Management in Patient Access, preferably in Rare Disease or Specialty Therapeutics.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi healthcare landscape, including reimbursement systems and funding process of early FDA and EMA approved Rare Disease therapies.
- Knowledge of the Rare Disease treatment landscape and understanding of patient access challenges specific to these therapies.
- Experience in building relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and patient organizations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
- Analytical skills with a deep understanding of pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
