Opal Diving Club is the signature product of JABA, a
subsidiary of Baheej Investment Company and owned by ASFAR, a Saudi Tourism
Investment Company under the Public Investment Fund, operates in collaboration
with AWN Enterprises and Tamimi Group. As a premier Destination Management
Company (DMC), JABA is redefining tourism and leisure in Yanbu and surrounding
regions.
Duties and responsibilities include:- Adhere to PADI and
Opal Diving Club standards of procedures.
- Welcome customers and help with registration and
orientation.
- Lead certified diving excursions (fun dives).
- Teach all range of PADI courses and diving activities,
according to your PADI rating.
- Certify PADI students.
- Effectively manage guests’ requests and complaints.
- Cover storefront-reception shifts on a rotation basis.
- Assist other instructors during courses or other
activities if required.
- Supervise and lead snorkelers when Divemaster is not available.
- Carry on pre-post activity equipment preparation and
care.
- Conduct pre-post activity briefings and row-calls.
- Ensure the highest safety standards are respected at
all times.
- Act as boat masters, on a rotation basis, supervising
divers and boat operations.
- Carry on day-to-day ordinary maintenance of the dive
centre main areas.
- Carry on routine maintenance on dive equipment. Fill
tanks.
- Ensure damaged equipment is taken out of circulation,
flagged and repaired asap.
- Assist in organizing and participate in clean-up activities
both in and out of the water.
- Assist and participate in marine conservation
activities.
- Advocate for Opal marine conservation efforts and
diving safety standards.
In
addition:- Assist with and facilitate relations with local
business owners, boat captains and others as needed.
RequirementsTechnical
- Must be at least PADI (only)
MSDT Instructor in Teaching Status.
- Driving license (manual).
- Minimum 2 year teaching experience.
- Personal diving professional liability and accident
insurance.
- Fluent in English and Arabic. Others a bonus.
- Working knowledge of guiding dives, allowing for
delivery of a “wow” experience.
- Working knowledge of dive equipment to assist with
corrective maintenance.
- Knowledge of up-selling and cross-selling skills.
- Proficient with PADI platforms, Microsoft or Mac OS Office suit is a plus.
- Own equipment and original PADI teaching
slates.
