Today, we are recruiting for an OT Cybersecurity Expert to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.


What are my responsibilities?


  • Lead and mentor OT cybersecurity engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
  • Develop and execute the OT cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry standards (IEC 62443, Saudi NCA).
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of OT cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensuring they meet national and international standards.
  • Lead and conduct comprehensive risk assessments and threat analyses for OT systems.
  • Provide expert-level insight into threat modeling and mitigation strategies for critical OT infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve the OT cybersecurity risk register and ensure that risk assessments are thorough, and action plans are in place.
  • Review and approve OT security architectures and controls, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, IT) to integrate cybersecurity from the design phase through the lifecycle of OT projects.
  • Ensure robust network segmentation and secure access controls between IT and OT environments.
  • Oversee the vulnerability management program, ensuring regular vulnerability scans, analysis, and remediation processes are in place.
  • Lead the development and implementation of proactive threat hunting and advanced incident response for OT environments.
  • Coordinate incident response efforts across departments, minimizing impact on operational continuity.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the organization's cybersecurity maturity based on IEC 62443-2-4 and other applicable frameworks.
  • Ensure OT cybersecurity measures comply with local and international regulations (IEC 62443, Saudi NCA, NIST SP 800-82) and participate in external audits.
  • Develop and execute cybersecurity awareness programs and lead training efforts to improve OT staff security practices.
  • Ensure secure remote access solutions for OT environments, enforcing strict access controls and monitoring.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of backup solutions for critical OT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date asset register for all OT systems.
  • Lead network traffic analysis efforts, guiding engineers in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating suspicious activities within OT networks.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies to align cybersecurity strategies and ensure all standards are met.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, ensuring Siemens remains at the forefront of OT cybersecurity innovation.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in OT environments.
  • CISSP, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, GICSP, or equivalent; IEC 62443 certifications are highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of OT protocols
  • Extensive experience with ICS/SCADA systems and OT-specific hardware
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82) and regulatory requirements (Saudi NCA).
  • Proficiency in OT network security, including firewalls, VLANs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
