Job Description
A. Basic Scope of Work:
- Provide efficient and effective support for Oracle Forms, Reports, and Database PL/SQL applications, assisting end-users with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system maintenance.
B. Accountabilities:
Provide technical support:
- Assist end-users in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Oracle Forms, Reports, and Database PL/SQL applications.
- Respond to support tickets, emails, or calls promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution of reported problems.
- Collaborate with users to gather detailed information about reported issues and provide clear and concise instructions or solutions.
Perform system maintenance:
- Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as patching, upgrades, and performance tuning, to ensure the stability and reliability of Oracle applications.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimizations to enhance application efficiency.
Develop and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports:
- Design, develop, and enhance Oracle Forms and Reports applications based on business requirements.
- Write efficient PL/SQL code for database operations, data retrieval, and complex business logic implementation.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility with existing systems.
Coordinate with database administrators and developers:
- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance, maintain data integrity, and ensure seamless connectivity between applications and the database.
- Work closely with software developers and technical teams to address complex issues or implement enhancements in Oracle applications.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of new features, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
Document and share knowledge:
- Create and maintain documentation, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles, to facilitate self-service support for end-users.
- Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate end-users on best practices, system functionalities, and common troubleshooting techniques.
Stay updated on Oracle technologies:
- Continuously enhance your knowledge and expertise in Oracle Forms, Reports, Database PL/SQL, and related tools by staying abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Oracle support processes.
Skills
C. Qualification:
- Proven experience in supporting Oracle Forms, Reports, and Database PL/SQL applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Forms and Reports development, Oracle Database, and PL/SQL programming. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for analyzing and manipulating data within Oracle applications.
- Familiarity with database administration concepts and practices.
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Forms, Reports, Database, or related technologies are a plus.
D. Experience:
- 3+/- Years experience in in Oracle Forms, Reports, Database, or related technologies are a plus.
E. Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Forms, Reports, Database, or related technologies are a plus.
F. General Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
