Today, we are recruiting for an Operation and Maintenance Interface Lead to join our team in Saudi Arabia for the execution of the Defects Liability Period (DLP). What are my responsibilities?


  • Ensure seamless coordination between the Siemens Mobility Design & Build (D&B) organization and the O&M company during the Defects and Liability Period (DLP) in the Riyadh Metro Project (RMP.
  • Take the primary lead in coordinating and communicating with all stakeholders for DLP activities that will take place on the TS assets.
  • Manage, control, monitor, and report to client and O&M representatives on all activities relating to the DLP works throughout the Project.
  • Consult the subject matter experts (SME) to provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with existing warranties, design, safety, quality, and integrity of the TS, when required.
  • Prepare, update, and provide the (monthly) reports and documentation to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and obtain all necessary internal and/or external approvals before the work period.
  • Evaluate and report on technical specifications, detailed instructions, and drawings.
  • Play an active part in project DLP-related meetings and chair the same to ensure information is collected and disseminated to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Schedule and monitor DLP activities to achieve completion within agreed timescales to meet project KPIs.
  • Integrate and communicate effectively with all staff, management, peers, contractors, and subcontractors as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge for the safe and efficient performance of all duties.
  • Participate in the health, safety & risk programs including risk assessment of work activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Siemens Mobility and the O&M company, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding permits to work, site access, failures, defects, and incident management.
  • Lead the response for Siemens Mobility from a D&B point of view to operational incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Manage access protocols to ensure that all necessary personnel can perform their duties efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor and report on system defects and failures, ensuring that they are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Gather all necessary inputs and communicate them to the O&M entity, ensuring that all relevant information is shared and acted upon.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 10 years of experience and at least 3 years of them within a similar role in the transportation or mobility sector, with a strong understanding of O&M processes.
  • Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment, and systems.
  • Project and contract management experience.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with external partners.
  • A solid understanding of the technical aspects of transportation systems and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to challenges.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
