Design and deploy network infrastructures that ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Continuously monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal operation and minimize downtime.
Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to meet the organization’s requirements.
Implement and manage security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect network integrity.
Work closely with other IT teams and departments to assess networking needs and provide technical expertise and support.
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
Analyze network performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in network engineering or a related technical role.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA) are a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and MPLS.
Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
Knowledge of security protocols and technologies such as VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving network issues, with the ability to use diagnostic tools and techniques.
Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, and PRTG.
