Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultation & Strategy: Provide strategic consulting on network and data center design, architecture, and optimization. Evaluate client needs and recommend solutions to enhance network performance and data center efficiency.
  • Network Design & Optimization: Design and implement network infrastructure solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Optimize network performance, scalability, and security.
  • Data Center Design & Management: Develop data center strategies, including layout, capacity planning, cooling, and power management. Recommend and implement improvements to data center operations and efficiency.
  • Implementation & Integration: Oversee the deployment and integration of network and data center solutions. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network and data center performance, conduct capacity planning, and identify areas for improvement. Implement performance tuning and optimization measures.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that network and data center solutions comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement and manage security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network and data center architectures, configurations, and operational procedures. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to client staff and internal teams on network and data center management, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Project Management: Manage projects related to network and data center improvements, including defining scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware VCP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Network and Data Center Consultant or in a similar role. Experience with [specific network technologies, data center solutions, or industries relevant to your organization] is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of network design, architecture, and optimization techniques.
  • Expertise in data center management, including physical and virtual environments.
  • Proficiency with network and data center hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, servers, storage solutions).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to client sites if required.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning is a plus.
