The National Therapy Area Manager role represents a unique opportunity to make a difference for patients. He/she is responsible to lead and coordinate efforts on our portfolio in CMV, Antifungals and HIV. In this role, you will play a critical role in the KSA Pharma Sales Organization with primary responsibility to drive product sales growth and overall market share across the whole Kingdom, by developing tailored strategy and execution excellence. The Therapy Area Manager will foster effective relationships across the cross functional team to implement the strategy and will also provide critical customer insight and a co-ordinated approach to effectively drive the implementation of field- based activities according to the business and account plans.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Promote the existing portfolio and introduce new products/indications to the market;
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers and KSLs, through individual visits, sales meetings, promotional lectures and participation in congresses and educational events;
  • Engage in balanced product sales discussions with HCPs to align customer and business needs in accordance with business prioritization and marketing strategies;
  • Work hand-in-hand with the cross-functional team (marketing, medical, access, etc..) by regularly sharing relevant stakeholder insights and feedback to unleash business opportunities;
  • Identify drivers and barriers across the Kingdom and pro-actively share relevant feedback with the CFT to ensure an optimal understanding of the market and to drive strategic decisions;
  • Anticipate challenges and identify collaborative opportunities by working closely together with accounts and actively leading optimal collaboration across internal and external stakeholders;
  • Stay up-to date on the latest product and therapeutic area information, including physician reactions to new data/indications, for all allocated portfolio indications by attending internal scientific and product trainings, conferences and symposia, as well as by self-study;
  • Develop and execute tailored account management/action plan (according to i.e. formulary inclusion status, customer needs, challenges and opportunities). Identify high potential accounts, KSLs and do relevant SL mapping, understand the patient journey and know how each key stakeholder is involved and influences treatment decisions and closely follow-up;
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate activities in the territory and manage allocated sales sponsorship budget;
  • Regularly monitor business performance against objectives to ensure sales targets are reached;
  • Complete and submit all assigned reports in an accurate manner and as per schedule date.
  • Writes his/her EDP with guidance and agreement of the Manager, who assesses it quarterly for progress.
  • Ensure that all relevant company policies, business practices, local Laws and regulations, and compliance guidelines are being followed ensuring high compliance and ethics standards. Ensure highest level of integrity in the territory.

Skill Required and Qualifications:


  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills;
  • Self-driven, ability to work in autonomy to drive results, execution excellence;
  • Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to drive excellent cross-functional collaboration;
  • Ability to influence without authority;
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization skills;
  • Strong customer management skills;
  • Experience in sales and/or account management is required;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical companies is required;
  • Saudi national is a must based on local country regulation;
  • Previous CMV, Antifungals, HIV experience and/or scientific knowledge is preferred;
  • Experience in the public sector preferred;
  • Medical study background is preferred;
  • English proficient;
  • Open for innovation and experimentation.
