DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare patients for procedures; move disabled patients from wheelchairs, stretchers onto examination tables position them for imaging.
- MRI technicians interpret a physician’s instructions; explain MRI procedures to select protocol options and imaging parameters when adjusting an MRI patients, machine.
- Complete understanding of MRI applications
- Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and MRI equipment.
- Prepare and administer the gadolinium contrast if needed by the direction from attending Radiologist.
- Maintain adequate records and statistics.
- Request all the medicines/contrast and disposables required for the MRI Unit.
- Make sure to send required images to PACS in different formats and Series.
- Cover the MRI Unit 16 hours per day and on call within 20 minutes.
- Assign the Study to the responsible on duty Radiologist & inform about the availability of images on RIS/PACS for Reporting.
- To treat patient with compassion and to be person centered care.
- Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.
- Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from approved college of Radiology Technicians.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiology.
Minimum of 1 year experience in MRI Section.
Meets the Saudi commission for health Specialties licensure requirements.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Must be proficient in English language. Arabic is desirable.
