Medical Coder Specialist

Job Overview

Waseel is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coder to ensure accurate healthcare documentation and billing by translating medical records into standardized codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine patient documents for accuracy.
• Utilize ICD-10 AM, ACHI codes, and Australian standards to ensure correct medical coding and billing.
• Audit and process discharged patients using Excel.
• Review medical files for documentation improvement and collaborate with physicians on coding information.
• Ensure coding meets compliance and accurately reflects services rendered.
• Up- to -date to coding guidelines and industry changes for compliance.
• Assist in audits for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Provide training on documentation and coding procedures to medical staff if needed .
• Proficient in Mapping, possessing practical experience in Coding for both (Out / In patient ), and demonstrating a high level of expertise in SBS and DRG.
