Job Description

  • Understand requirements of mechanical structures and subsystems.
  • Design mechanical subsystems using CAD tools.
  • Analyze designs for thermal, vibration and stresses.
  • Assist in manufacturing from inhouse manufacturing lab, local manufacturing or international manufacturing facilities.
  • Quick prototyping using 3-D printers.

Skills

  • Computer Aided Mechanical Design, Part Modeling, Assembly, Mechanisms, 2D Drawings.
  • Computer Aided Thermal, Vibration and Stress Analysis.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
  • Understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Good knowledge of measurement of mechanical parameters of a system.
  • To read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Understanding product specifications and quality control measures.
  • Work within set budgetary plans for the project.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with clients and venders to obtain materials and/or equipment needed.
