Job Description

· Execution and Supervision:

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical or electrical systems (depending on specialization) according to approved drawings, specifications, and methods.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with relevant local and international codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Monitor the progress of mechanical or electrical works and report any deviations from the schedule to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used on site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any non-conformances.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the overall project plan and specifications.

· Technical Support and Problem Solving:

  • Provide technical clarification and support to the construction team and subcontractors regarding mechanical or electrical aspects of the project.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies that arise on site in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals for mechanical or electrical components, ensuring compliance with project requirements.


· Coordination and Communication:

  • Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, other site engineers, architects, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Attend site meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and coordinate activities.
  • Prepare regular progress reports on mechanical or electrical works for the Project Manager.

· Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all mechanical or electrical works are carried out in accordance with the project's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plan.
  • Identify and report any unsafe practices or potential hazards on site.

· Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and installations related to mechanical or electrical works.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and other project documentation.
