Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
Experience:
8-10 years of experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). Certification in SAP MDG is required. Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 and integration of SAP modules such as HANA, BODS, BPC, Cloud, and Basis. Strong understanding of master data governance platforms and data quality processes throughout the project lifecycle. Experience with master data domains like Assets or Materials and familiarity with Utilities processes is an advantage.
Job Description:
As an
MDG Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for the successful implementation and support of SAP MDG, ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will collaborate with SAP functional teams and master data teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions while also helping to define and enforce data governance standards.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and support of SAP MDG solutions in various SAP environments (HANA, BODS, BPC, Cloud, etc.). Analyze business requirements and provide advisory services, functional design, and complex problem-solving within the SAP area. Prepare and deliver demonstrations, presentations, and solution proposals to meet new business requirements. Create detailed designs, architecture, and process artifacts for implementing the deployment plan. Support the business in master data domain work streams, addressing master data needs and executing integration tasks. Establish and maintain data governance policies and collaborate with businesses to ensure proper data management practices. Integrate master data using web services, address data quality issues, and understand data warehousing and integration concepts. Conduct discovery sessions with business representatives to understand their requirements and provide guidance on SAP system usage. Prepare business case development and perform business process analysis for MDG implementation. Work with consultants, System Integrators, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Deliver ongoing support for core data requirements in the ERP system.
Skills & Expertise:
Expertise in SAP MDG processes and solutions, including configuration and support. Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) programming and integration of SAP modules. Strong understanding of master data governance principles, data quality assessment, and data policy implementation. Proven ability to design, develop, and implement solutions with a focus on data processes. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of leading demonstrations and training sessions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and desktop publishing programs. Thorough knowledge of utility companies and transformation processes is preferred. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, ensuring timely delivery. Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Fluent in both verbal and written English.
