Job Description

On behalf an international construction company  that specializes in delivering cutting-edge solutions in insulated building technologies we are seeking a Materials and Inventory Control Specialist. Based in Khobar and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

 

Job Purpose and Role Objectives

• Oversee accurate tracking and recording of material movements, including raw materials, WIP,  finished goods, and goods in transit.

• Ensure compliance with inventory and warehouse procedures to maintain stock accuracy and  minimize discrepancies.

• Coordinate with accounting to ensure timely processing and reconciliation of purchase orders invoices, minimizing payment delays.


Duties and responsibilities

Material Tracking and Recording:

Manage and track raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and goods in transit, ensuring timely and accurate inventory records. Verify and update material movements in real time to maintain accurate stock levels. Keep organized, detailed records of inventory transactions and align them with forecasts and orders. Conduct regular checks on material handling, storage, and distribution to ensure compliance with warehouse procedures.


Inventory and Warehouse Management Compliance:

 Enforce inventory policies to maintain stock accuracy, minimize discrepancies, and optimize warehouse space. Conduct regular audits and resolve discrepancies. Ensure proper labelling, storage, and organization of materials in compliance with safety regulations and best practices


Warehouse Procedure Compliance:

Ensure compliance with material handling, storage, and dispatch procedures to maintain operational standards. Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for accurate and secure material storage. Regularly review practices to identify improvements and reduce costs.


Coordination with Accounting and Invoice Processing:

Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase order invoices. Verify details against material receipts to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate documentation for financial reconciliation. Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to address issues, ensuring timely payments and uninterrupted material supply.


Process Enhancement:

Identify and address improvement areas in material tracking, inventory management, and logistics, implementing solutions with relevant teams. Stay updated on trends and technologies, recommending innovations to enhance operations. Monitor KPIs to drive improvements and optimize resources.


Operational Efficiency:

Streamline processes by fostering effective communication among teams and resolving inefficiencies in material flow and logistics to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
