Job Description

  1. Material Management: Monitor and manage the material status and inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply without overstocking.
  2. Procurement Coordination: Coordinate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of materials that meet quality standards.
  3. Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers, handle supplier inquiries, delivery issues.
  4. Logistics Coordination: Ensure efficient and smooth transportation and delivery of materials, addressing any logistics issues.
  5. Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records and generate regular inventory and procurement reports.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, evaluating their performance and addressing any issues to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery of materials.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control, to coordinate material movements, resolve discrepancies, and implement improvements in the material supply chain process as a Material Controller.
  8. As a Material Controller, your role involves utilizing inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels, generate reports, and analyze data for informed decision-making on reorder quantities and inventory turnover.
  9. Material Controllers negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms, monitor inventory levels, and implement control measures to optimize working capital and reduce costs.
