Job Description



We are seeking for highly skilled and motivated Marine Superintendents for one of our bigger projects in the Middle East.
The Marine Superintendent plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of vessels within the company's fleet. This position requires in-depth knowledge of marine regulations, industry standards, and company policies, particularly within the Middle East region.
The role oversees vessel compliance, safety standards, and crew performance, working closely with port authorities, shipmasters, and various departments to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:



Monitor day-to-day vessel operations, ensuring compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations. Liaise with the Operations and Technical teams to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and adherence to schedules. Ensure all vessels under supervision comply with international, flag state, and local regulatory requirements. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments on vessels to ensure optimal safety standards are maintained. Investigate incidents, accidents, or non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and reported to relevant authorities. Working closely with the technical management team to ensure equipment and machinery are functioning efficiently. Oversee repairs, and regular maintenance, coordinating with the Technical Superintendent to minimize downtime. Oversee the performance and welfare of crew members, ensuring they are adequately trained, certified, and complying with safety protocols. Facilitate regular drills, training programs, and safety briefings to enhance crew readiness and operational excellence.

Qualifications



Master Mariner with extensive experience in towing operations and offshore projects. Strong knowledge of towing equipment, safety procedures and maintenance requirements. Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and best practices. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills; are a prerequisite for this position. The ideal candidate should be responsible, goal-oriented and uphold high ethical standards. Fluent English communication skills are essential to interact seamlessly with our multinational and multicultural crew and staff with additional language skills seen as an added benefit in the region.
